The Senior Controller is responsible for the daily operations of the accounting department.  The SC needs to perform proper, timely and accurate daily, weekly, monthly and annual accounting/reporting functions and procedures; accounting/analytical tasks;  and functions for compliance in regards to regulatory requirements.  The SC is responsible for managing A&R Hospitality’s finances and financial portfolio, financial reporting procedures, regulatory compliance, controls, internal audits and record keeping.

We are in search of qualified candidates who can excel at the following:

  • Help develop A&R Hospitality’s annual business plan and leads the budget process.

  • Track financial results and budgets for each hotel.

  • Ensures the proper, timely and accurate performance and reporting of A&R Hospitality’s accounting functions.

  • Properly maintains all financial records of A&R Hospitality and all hotels. 

  • Develops and implements expense cost control systems and strategies for A&R Hospitality and all hotels.

  • Responsible for the development of a financial performance benchmarking (internal) and comparison system between all A&R Hospitality hotels. 

  • Responsible for the development of a financial performance benchmarking (external) and comparison system with industry averages for all A&R Hospitality hotels.

  • Support, coach and train accounting related associates at A&R Hospitality hotels. 

  • Demonstrate a high level of integrity, take ownership of personal and team actions, communicate effectively, promote collaboration, nurture a positive, professional work environment, and support the development and adherence to A&R Hospitality’s accounting policies and Standard Operating Procedures.

  • Lead all employees in accordance with A&R Hospitality’s Culture, Mission and Values.

  • Oversee month-end closing process.

  • Works with the Director of Sales and Revenue Generation in planning and analysis including budgeting and forecasting for the hotel division.
