Material Handler

Job Overview
We are seeking a reliable and safety‑focused Material Handler to support daily warehouse operations through accurate materials handling, inventory movement, and safe equipment operation. This role is critical in maintaining an organized, efficient, and safe warehouse environment by supporting shipping and receiving, order fulfillment, and internal material flow.

*Forklift certification is required for this position.*

Responsibilities

• Safely operate forklifts and other warehouse equipment to load, unload, move, and stage materials.
• Perform materials handling tasks including picking, packing, palletizing, and replenishing inventory to support order fulfillment.
• Assist with shipping and receiving activities, including unloading trucks, verifying counts, and staging outbound shipments.
• Maintain accurate inventory by scanning, labeling, and documenting material movements within the warehouse management system.
• Follow OSHA standards and all company safety procedures, including proper use of PPE and safe equipment operation.
• Help keep warehouse areas clean, organized, and free of hazards to support efficient workflow.
• Collaborate with warehouse leads, supervisors, and team members to meet productivity and quality targets.
• Support e‑commerce and distribution operations by ensuring timely processing and movement of customer orders.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in a warehouse, distribution, or materials handling role in a fast‑paced environment.
• Current forklift certification with demonstrated safe operating experience.
• Working knowledge of basic inventory practices, materials handling, and shipping & receiving processes.
• Experience using Warehouse Management Systems (WMS), RF scanners, or similar inventory software preferred.
• Understanding of OSHA safety standards and safe material handling practices.
• Mechanical aptitude related to forklifts and basic warehouse equipment operation.
• Ability to lift heavy objects, operate equipment safely, and stand or walk for extended periods.
• Strong teamwork, communication skills, and a dependable work ethic.
