PHM is seeking a passionate Regional Sales Director for our growing portfolio of hotels. This role will be remote. In this role, you will be responsible for directing all sales-related activities, including direct sales efforts, follow-up and proper sales administration at assigned properties. This position is also responsible for growing existing accounts and generating new business to ensure Rooms revenues meet or exceed the budget in order to maximize revenue and profits and to improve hotel performance in the marketplace

Responsibilities:

  • Effectively move share from competitors to the hotel, achieving desired RevPAR index goals through a proper mix of business
  • Continually identify and solicit new clients or target groups
  • Grow existing key accounts as well as solicit new business and/or target groups to ensure that revenues meet or exceed budget
  • Actively solicit business via phone, telemarketing, cold calls, warm calls, and site visits to meet targeted goals
  • Manage accounts to achieve guest satisfaction
  • Conduct daily sales calls and arrange site inspection trips to hotels by corporate clients
  • Work closely with General Manager, DOS, and Corporate Director of Revenue Management to ensure proposed rate negotiations meet the financial needs of the hotels.
  • Driving weekday corporate transient, weekend SMERF group, and small meetings business through direct sales efforts
  • Making strategic pricing decisions to achieve maximum RevPAR growth
  • Collaborating with the General Manager and the Revenue Manager to creatively win the business
  • Achieving or exceeding budgeted sales business goals
  • Managing leads from various channels
  • Conducting site visits
  • Negotiating RFP’s for local and national accounts
  • Communicating with team members and other departments to ensure client expectations are met
  • Utilizing your organizational skills and attention to detail to prioritize tasks, plan/conquer a busy schedule, exceed targets, and meet deadlines
  • Working closely with other departments to coordinate details, special requests and VIP packages for groups, individuals, and events
  • Providing continuous sales training to front-line associates
  • Maintaining an active role within the local community to build professional rapport
  • Managing deadlines and submitting reports on time

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience in hospitality sales
  • Previous experience with Marriott, Hilton and IHG brand preferred.
