Position Summary
The Marketing and Outreach Specialist is responsible for developing, implementing, and maintaining strategic marketing and community outreach initiatives to promote organizational services, increase referrals, and strengthen community partnerships. This role serves as a liaison between the organization and external stakeholders, ensuring accurate representation of services while supporting census growth and brand visibility.
Essential Functions
Marketing & Brand DevelopmentDevelop and execute marketing strategies aligned with organizational goals and service lines.
Create and distribute marketing materials (flyers, brochures, digital content, social media).
Ensure brand consistency across all platforms and communications.
Maintain and update website and online presence as needed.
Monitor and respond to online reviews and public feedback in coordination with leadership.
Build and maintain relationships with referral sources, including hospitals, DSS, schools, and community agencies.
Conduct in-person outreach visits to promote services and educate stakeholders.
Represent the organization at community events, health fairs, and networking opportunities.
Coordinate presentations and in-service trainings for referral partners.
Track referral trends and identify opportunities for growth.
Collaborate with clinical and operations teams to align outreach with program capacity.
Support intake and admissions processes by ensuring smooth communication with referral sources.
Maintain a referral tracking system and provide regular reports to leadership.
Ensure all marketing and outreach activities comply with HIPAA, CARF standards, and state/federal regulations.
Maintain accurate records of outreach activities, contacts, and outcomes.
Participate in audits and quality improvement initiatives as required.
Work closely with executive leadership, clinical directors, and intake teams to align messaging and service availability.
Assist with internal communications and staff engagement initiatives as needed.
Provide input on program development based on community needs and trends.
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business Administration, Healthcare Administration, or related field (or equivalent experience).
Minimum of 2 years of experience in marketing, outreach, or business development (healthcare/behavioral health preferred).
Strong knowledge of community resources and referral networks.
Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience in behavioral health, substance use, or social services.
Familiarity with CARF standards and Medicaid service structures.
Experience with CRM systems or referral tracking tools.
Digital marketing experience (social media management, email campaigns, analytics).
