The Alberta New Home Warranty Program Group of Companies (ANHWP Group), is Alberta’s most experienced and most trusted new home warranty provider and educator for homebuilders. This position resides with The Alberta New Home Warranty Program (ANHWP) and works alongside The New Home Warranty Insurance (Canada) Corporation (NHWICC) and the Professional Home Builders Institute of Alberta (PHBI).

 

Accountable for:

ANHWP has an immediate vacancy for a Financial Business Analyst. The successful incumbent will be responsible for moderate to complex financial and economic analysis projects and providing recommendations based on analysis.

 

Work location:

Calgary, Alberta

 

Responsibilities:

The primary responsibilities of the Financial Business Analyst are:

  • Work with business unit to identify and document business and technology requirements on various business issues.
  • Analyzes business requirements, develops criteria for quality assurance and documenting business requirements, business cases, methods and processes
  • Provides problem-solving support and solution options analysis; make recommendations for action by synthesizing financial and other business information and trends.
  • Evaluates financial reports such as income statements, cash flow statements and balance sheets and determining how a project will impact business operations.
  • Facilitates decision-making by presenting data analysis and interpretation.
  • Contributes to team discussions presenting ideas, sharing knowledge and listening to others ideas.

 

Skills and Experience:

·       Post-secondary education in Accounting, Business or related fields.

·       Must have: advanced Excel (Macro, VBA, programming).

·       Experience: 2 - 5 years industry experience: financial modeling and variance analysis, business intelligence.

·       Considered asset: Accounting experience.
