What we would like you to bring to the table:
· Manage electrical projects, assessing the project requirements, material, timelines, and goals.
· Work with the electrical team and general contractor to meet deadlines, assign workload based on level of experience.
· Organize and prioritize tasks and to ensure required resources are available.
· Communicate progress of projects with the team and management.
· Ensure all workers receive the proper training, support job training for apprentices, and facilitate mentoring.
· Know, understand, and participate in safety/incident investigations.
· Review safety/incident investigations and provide crews with adequate supervision to accomplish tasks in a safe effective manner.
· Plan, assemble, install, repair, test and maintain electrical fixtures and systems that provide heat, light, power or control at commercial sites.
· Read blueprints or technical diagrams.
· Installation and maintenance of wiring systems.
· Installing electrical apparatus, equipment, and fixtures.
· Enforce and maintain clean site facilities and equipment and comply with all safety standards.
· Complying strictly with Canadian Electrical Code and local building regulations.
· Other duties as assigned by The Company.
Working Conditions:
- Outdoor field work occurs in adverse weather conditions and has a normal hazard associated with construction sites.
- This position requires climbing, working at heights, and/or working within confined spaces.
- This position requires the ability to safely handle tools and materials such as ladders, solar panels, panel boards, and other similar electrical equipment and supplies.
- This position requires performing repetitious duties, including lifting, bending, and standing for long periods.
Safety Certifications that we look for, however if you do not have them all we would schedule an in-house training session; it is not a deal breaker:
· WHMIS
· First Aid
· Fall Protection
· Lift Training
· Confined Spaces is considered an asset.
It is possible that you may undergo Government of Canada Security Screening to obtain a Security Clearance for certain projects, based on need.
