Citizen House - Host(ess)

Position Summary

Citizen House is seeking a poised, welcoming, and detail-oriented Host(ess) to serve as the first and last impression of our guest experience. This role is essential in setting the tone for excellence, warmth, and consistency. The Host(ess) manages reservations, seating flow, and guest communication while ensuring every guest feels valued from arrival to departure.

At Citizen House, we do not simply greet guests — we curate experiences.

Key Responsibilities

• Greet every guest with professionalism, warmth, and confidence
• Manage reservations and walk-ins using the reservation system
• Maintain accurate waitlists and communicate realistic wait times
• Strategically manage floor flow to support service efficiency
• Escort guests to tables and provide a polished introduction to their server
• Answer phones and respond to guest inquiries with professionalism
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the host stand and entrance
• Assist with guest concerns and escalate issues when necessary
• Support overall team communication to ensure seamless operations

Qualifications

• Previous hospitality or customer service experience preferred
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Professional appearance and demeanor
• Ability to stay composed in high-volume situations
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
• Ability to multitask effectively
• Flexible availability including nights, weekends, and holidays

Physical Requirements

• Ability to stand for extended periods
• Ability to move throughout the venue efficiently
