Location: Indianapolis, Indiana
Schedule: M-F 11 to 7:30

We’re looking for a skilled and motivated Medical Laboratory Scientist to join our team. In this role, you’ll perform moderate to high-complexity testing, apply independent judgment, and play a key role in delivering accurate, timely results that support patient care. Perform and report moderate to high-complexity clinical laboratory testing in accordance with SOPs and quality standards

Exercise independent judgment in troubleshooting instruments, assays, and procedures

Ensure quality control requirements are met and make informed QC decisions regarding assay validity

Maintain turnaround times, including STAT and critical results
-
Accurately enter test results into the Laboratory Information System (LIS)

Support laboratory operations through instrument maintenance, process improvement, and special projects
-
Assist with staff training and competency assessments as needed
-
Communicate effectively with supervisors, coworkers, and clients regarding testing questions or issues
-
Maintain a clean, safe, and compliant laboratory environment

Adhere to all CLIA, HIPAA, OSHA, and laboratory safety requirements

Participate in inspections and audits when required

Step into lead responsibilities in the absence of a supervisor, if qualified

Perform other duties as assigned

Required Experience-
Minimum: 1 year of full-time experience or training performing high-complexity testing in a clinical laboratory

3+ years of clinical laboratory experience, with the most recent year in the current department or specialty

Preferred: BS in Medical Technology

BS/BA in Chemistry or Biology

Associate’s degree in Laboratory Science or Medical Technology

Certification: ASCP Certification preferred

Foreign-educated candidates must provide credential evaluation through IERF

Manual dexterity required to operate pipettes and laboratory instruments
