Maintenance Director

We are seeking a dedicated, hands-on Maintenance Director who takes pride in their work and leads with professionalism, accountability, and heart.

The Maintenance Director is responsible for the overall maintenance, repair, safety, and upkeep of our assisted living community. This leadership role ensures the building, grounds, and systems are maintained to the highest standards to support resident comfort, regulatory compliance, and operational excellence.

• Oversee all building maintenance, repairs, and preventative maintenance programs

• Ensure compliance with state regulations, life safety codes, and OSHA standards

• Maintain a safe, clean, and functional environment for residents, staff, and visitors

• Manage work orders and prioritize maintenance needs in a timely manner

• Supervise housekeeping and maintenance support staff (2–3 team members)

• Coordinate with vendors, contractors, and inspectors as needed

• Conduct routine safety inspections, fire drills, and equipment checks

• Monitor and manage maintenance budgets and supplies responsibly

• Support emergency preparedness and respond to on-call maintenance needs

• Partner with the Executive Director and leadership team to uphold Arcadia’s mission and culture

• Previous maintenance leadership experience (senior living, healthcare, hospitality, or multifamily preferred)

• Strong knowledge of building systems (HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and life safety systems)

• Experience with preventative maintenance programs and regulatory compliance

• Ability to lead, coach, and hold team members accountable

• Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills

• Ability to work independently and respond to urgent situations calmly and effectively

• Must be dependable, professional, and solutions-focused

• Valid driver’s license and ability to pass background check
