Position Summary

The Host is responsible for greeting guests, providing accurate wait times, taking and accurately recording reservations, and escorting guests to the dining and bar area. The Host is also responsible for assisting servers and bartenders during high guest volume to ensure the guests’ dining experience is memorable.

Responsibilities:

·         Welcome guests to the restaurant

·         Provide accurate wait times and monitor waiting lists

·         Manager reservations

·         Escort guests to assigned dining or bar areas

·         Provide menus and announce Server’s name

·         Greet guests upon their departure

·         Coordinate with wait staff about available seating options

·         Maintain a clean reception area

·         Cater to guests who require extra attention

·         Answer incoming calls and address customers’ queries

·         Assist wait staff as needed

·         Other duties as assigned by direct supervisor or direct department manager

Experience & Qualifications

·         A High School diploma is preferred but not required.
