About the Company:

John Ross & Sons Ltd. Is a fifth generation, family owned, scrap metal recycler. The company is

the largest metal recycler in Atlantic Canada and has been in operation for over 80 years. John

Ross & Sons Ltd. Specializes in purchasing and processing all ferrous and non-ferrous scrap

metals, along with accepting a wide range of recyclable material to process.

We are currently seeking an energetic and safety minded general laborer to join our team.

Primary Responsibilities and Duties:

● Load, unload, and move products and materials by hand or with basic equipment

● Sort and prepare products for shipping or storage

● Assist machine operators and other production staff as needed.

● Accurately label and tag products

● Maintain a clean and tidy work area

● Upkeeping safety procedures

● Ensure deficiencies are noted and reported to management

● Other labor duties as necessary

Qualifications and Skills:

● Previous experience of heavy lifting general labour an asset

● Must be able to lift 50lbs consistently

● Full PPE (CSA Steel toes, Gloves, Glasses, safety Vest, Hard Hat)

● Safety driven mindset

● Clear communication skills

● Comfortable working in all weather conditions

Hours of Work: Monday to Friday, 7:00 AM - 5:00 PM.
