Corporate Staff Accountant

The ideal candidate will work at the corporate location in Sugar Hill, GA and will report to the corporate controller.


Key Responsibilities: Provide accounting, analytical and operational support to the accounting team as well as general managers.  Perform duties at the property level to understand the business side of hotel management, revenue production, and expense control. Work assignments to develop knowledge of centralized corporate and shared service accounting.  Will work in the area of Accounts Payable, Daily Income Journals, Payroll and Timekeeping, Bank and General Ledger Reconciliations and Prepare Related Journal Entries, and end Reconcile Balance Sheet Accounts. Daily monitoring to ensure compliance of cash deposits, revenues, and reports. Assist in the monthly closing process. Property Site Visits to review accounts and procedures, with additional assignments of a more complex task as experience is gained.

Skills and Qualification

  • Experience with M3 Accounting Core
  • Experience in hotel accounting
  • Experienced user of Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, and Outlook)
  • Proficient and professional written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to manage time in an efficient, effective and organized manner and take ownership of work
  • Attention to detail though consistent accuracy and thoroughness
  • Organized self-starter who can work independently and on several tasks at one time



Bachelor’s Degree in Business or Accounting or any combination of training, experience, and education that demonstrates the ability to perform the essential duties of the position required.  Hospitality focused majors or Hospitality program graduates preferred but not required.

One year minimum of relevant experience in hospitality accounting utilizing M3 software.

Travel requirements include occasional out-of-town travel for internal audit and transition account assignments.
