Location: Cambridge, MA

A leading hospital in Cambridge, MA is seeking an experienced Cardiovascular Operating Room (CVOR) Surgical Technologist for a 13-week contract assignment. This role requires hands-on experience assisting in open-heart and major vascular procedures within a high-acuity surgical environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist cardiovascular surgeons during open-heart and vascular procedures
• Prepare and maintain sterile field for complex cardiac surgeries
• Handle specialized cardiovascular instruments and equipment
• Anticipate surgeon needs during procedures such as CABG, valve replacements, and vascular cases
• Ensure proper surgical counts and sterile technique compliance
• Assist with patient positioning and OR setup
• Maintain accurate case documentation and supply management

Required Qualifications

• Minimum 2+ years of recent CVOR Surgical Tech experience required
• Experience in open-heart procedures required
• Strong knowledge of cardiovascular surgical instrumentation
• Ability to work in a high-acuity, fast-paced surgical environment
• Acute care hospital experience required

Required Certifications

• Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) required
• BLS certification required

Contract Details

• Assignment Length: 13 weeks
• Schedule: 40 hours per week (4x10 days)
• On-call requirements may apply
