Are you a passionate, creative, and experienced leader in the kitchen? Sloppy Jose’s, a vibrant and fast-growing oceanfront restaurant with a bold twist on Mexican favorites, is looking for a Head Chef to lead our culinary team and bring flavor, energy, and excellence to every plate.
🔪 What You’ll Do:Lead and manage the back-of-house team, including line cooks, prep staff, and dish crew
Oversee all kitchen operations, including prep, execution, inventory, and cleanliness
Collaborate with ownership to evolve the menu and feature specials that highlight our coastal-Mexican fusion
Uphold the quality and consistency of every dish served
Maintain food safety, cleanliness, and organization standards
Manage food costs, inventory, and vendor relationships
Train and motivate the kitchen team with high standards and a positive culture
A strong, inspiring leader with 2+ years in a Head Chef or Executive Sous Chef role
Deep knowledge of kitchen operations, scheduling, ordering, and cost control
Creative and passionate about food with an eye for presentation
Able to stay calm, efficient, and upbeat under pressure
Organized, reliable, and team-oriented
Comfortable in a fast-paced, high-volume environment
Bonus: Experience with coastal cuisine, Mexican or Latin flavors, or scratch kitchens
